“The networking opportunities provided by the Tracy Green Business Network have been invaluable. In the past six months, we have made more business connections and engaged with more like-minded professionals than we had in the previous six years as a business in Tracy.”
Frank Schubert, CEO
Tracy Renewable Energy LLC
Say you are a business owner. You decide for yourself and your business that the best idea is to be as eco-friendly as possible. After a lot of research and effort, you have found a few practices that have made your business a lot more sustainable! But, you have a lot of areas that you are still trying to improve, and you’re at a loss as to what your next steps are.
Enter the Green Business Network, Tracy’s coalition of businesses committed to creating a more sustainable community! With the Green Business Network, also known as the Green Team, your business can get advice from other businesses looking to improve their green practices and reduce their waste. All Tracy businesses are welcome, and all who participate gain access to the resources necessary to create an eco-friendly business plan. So, you go to tracygreenbusiness.net, and you take the survey to become a part of the network.
Remember all those practices your business has already put in place? The Green Team’s monthly Speaker Series gives a platform for the members to share their practices and implementations in a public forum at the Chamber of Commerce. These hybrid meetings are designed to help business owners get ahead on attracting environmentally conscious consumers, expanding networks, and staying compliant with state and federal regulations.
On the Green Business Network site, you can view past speakers including Amazon, Heirloom, and Prologis. We are also featuring William Muetzenberg and Mary Davis from Public Health Advocates on September 9th , and Tracy Renewable Energy is presenting in October. Meetings can be attended in person at the Tracy Chamber of Commerce, or online through Zoom!
What if your business was REALLY green? Like the best in our city? At the beginning of the year, the Chamber of Commerce holds the Awards Gala, where Tracy Earth Project presents the Emerald Award to the business that has worked the hardest at its sustainability and waste reduction efforts.
At Tracy Earth Project, we want our community to flourish. We believe that if you have worked hard at your business’ environmentalism, you should be recognized accordingly. We also believe that it shouldn’t be difficult to make more green business decisions, and that information should be shared freely between businesses and cities to create the world we want to see. The Green Business Network was crafted from those beliefs. Join the Green Team today!
- Next TGBN speaker series is on September 9th, 5:30 pm at Tracy Chamber of Commerce. Featured speakers- William Muetzenberg and Mary Davis from Public Health Advocates.
